Game Title: "Super Awesome CSE 473 Game"
Group Members: Jonathan Moore, Ryan Hewitt, Travis Newport
Game Description: In "Super Awesome CSE 473 Game" the player must guide a rat to the exit of a Lego brick maze as quickly as possible to try to get the lowest time and achieve lab rat fame! Collecting cheese along the way subtracts 10 seconds from your time, and you can peek at the larger maze, but that wastes 5 seconds of your time. The maze is randomly generated each time to ensure lots of replayability!
Operating Instructions: Turn the rat with the left and right arrow keys, and move it forward and backwards with the up and down arrows. Pressing 'P' allows you to peek at the larger maze for 5 seconds, with your movement disabled for that time. Once at the win screen, pressing space bar will restart you in a new maze.
Group Member Contributions:
Ryan Hewitt: Procedural Maze generation and rendering, bounding box hit testing in maze, detection for open spaces to place collectables.
Travis Newport: Rat and Camera control / animation. Sound effect implementation, and scoring implementation.
Jonathan Moore: Made custom art: modeled/texture cheese, created the Splash screens. Wrote the cheese collectables, implemented the lighting, and scripted splash screen logic. Made website.
